Full cast announced for CALAMITY JANE tour starring Jodie Prenger


The production, which features "a cast of multi-talented actor/musicians", is directed by Nikolai Foster (Beautiful Thing, The Witches of Eastwick) and will run from 17 July to 6 September 2014 at the Watermill, Newbury prior to a national tour.
Calamity Jane, which features the songs "The Black Hills of Dakota", "The Deadwood Stage (Whip-Crack-Away)", "Just Blew in from the Windy City" and "Secret Love", is adapted for the stage by Charles K Freeman and has music by Sammy Fain with lyrics by Paul Francis Webster.
It's produced by The Watermill Theatre Newbury in association with Jamie Wilson, Paul Elliott and Duncan C Weldon. Musical arrangements and supervision will be by Catherine Jayes.

Joining the previously announced Jodie Prenger in the title role of ‘Calamity Jane’ will be Tom Lister as ‘Wild Bill Hickok, Alex Hammond as ‘Danny’ and Pheobe Street as Katie Brown.
It Stars Jodie Prenger as Clamaity Jane who is best known for winning I'd Do Anything where her prize was to play the role of Nancy in the West End revival of Oliver!  Since then she has appeared in the National Theatre's One Man, Two Guvnors both in the West End and on tour, and as The Lady of the Lake in Spamalot.
Tom Lister stars as Wild Bill Hickok. Tom is best known for his role as Carl King in ITV's Emmerdale, a role he played for 9 years. Aside from this Tom has also appeared in The BillDoctors and Heartbeat. Theatre credits include the recent world premiere of Water Babies the musical at Leicester Curve where he played Grimes and Eel, Ralph in The Accrington Pals (West Yorkshire Playhouse), Titus/Fool in Bill Shakespeare's Italian Job (Gilded Balloon - Edinburgh), Pan in Love's Mistress (Globe Theatre) and Oberon in A Midsummer Night's Dream (Settle Festival of Theatre). 

Alex Hammond plays Danny, he has has just completed the UK Tour of Seven Brides for Seven Brothers, playing Alternate Adam Pontipee. Alex made his professional debut in Taboo at the Brixton Club House and then went straight into the UK tour of Bill Kenwright's Save The Last Dance For Me.

Pheobe Street plays Katie Brown, She was nominated for the Spotlight Prize in 2012 and made her West End debut in Les Misérables at The Queen’s Theatre before soaring into Tori Amos's The Light Princess at The National Theatre.

The show also features Antony Dunn as Henry Miller, Sioned Saunders as Susan, Rob Delaney as Francis Fryer, Christina Tedders as Adelaid Adams, Paul Kissaun as Rattlesnake, Jon Donner as Doc, Martin McCarthy as Joe, Matthew James Hinchliffe as Buck, Jamie Noar as Hank and Giovanna Ryan as Swing.
